An interesting succulent from the Sahel region in Africa, just south of the Sahara desert. Grown indoors the desert rose can be 2 to 5 feet tall. It requires bright indirect sunlight, direct sunlight often burns the leaves. It thrives on neglect, so allow the soil to be completely dry before watering. The sap from the plant is extremely irritating to skin and the plant is considered toxic for humans and cats/dogs.
